Well - today, besides being a great holiday, marks the accomplishment of a strange and spontaneous goal I set for myself.

I don't normally use a lot of dialogue with my art, I find that I enjoy letting the viewer decide what my pieces mean to them, take what they will from it, let the work speak for itself, rather than telling the viewer what it is that I am trying to express. Sometimes people get on to me for this practice, but it is my way, I'm usually just not one for words, but today is different, and if you are reading this, I hope you find my uncharacteristic wordiness worth while.

On October 1st of this year I drew a little Jack O' Lantern that kind of looked like Jack Skeleton from a Nightmare Before Christmas, and while I was drawing it I kind of decided that I would try to do a "Halloween" themed drawing every day of the month of October. I also Decided that I would number them each like a Calendar, and in some cases I decided to make the number significant in some way in the image. I didn't give myself any other limitations and just drew what I felt like drawing... some of them turned out very good, while others I was less than satisfied with, but all in all I think it turned out to be a great test of my skill, mental fortitude, and self discipline. I hope you have enjoyed looking at them as much as I have enjoyed drawing them and the challenge of creating them.

Quite a few people seemed to like this series and several of those seemed to be eagerly anticipating the next installment, especially the last...

For the Last Oddity of the series I chose two of the most influential horror writers of all time. Alfred Hitchcock and Rod Serling....

Hitchcock was brilliant and his record shows it, as he helped bring his fears to the public through TV and Movie, one of the greatest and certainly one of the early horror pioneers in these genres.

However -

Serling was all of that and more in my eyes... Serling not only brought his fears to the world but also his hopes, and his concerns. He used his talent to make the whole world think. He was a hero and champion, fighting against discrimination, hunger, and atrocity.  For that reason, his "Twilight Zone" is a place I visit in my mind often, or maybe it draws me into it, either way, perhaps I do a little of the same thing Serling did through my talent...

I try and show the world something and change it in some favorable way through my art and talents.... If I have changed it in a positive way for even one person then all the effort will have been worth it...

So here it is - the entire series in one place - with Rod Serling taking top billing.... :) I hope you enjoy it.

“Give them pleasure. The same pleasure they have when they wake up from a nightmare.”
-Alfred Hitchcock

“For the record, suspicion can kill, and prejudice can destroy. And a thoughtless, frightened search for a scapegoat has a fallout all its own, for the children and the children yet unborn. And the pity of it is that these things cannot be confined to the Twilight Zone.”

This thing was due for an update.... so here it is as of Dec 2013

I've been an artist since I was old enough to pick up a pencil... I create art on a daily basis, from drawing in various mediums, to painting, photography, digital, sculpture, makeup, assemblage and just about any kind of art I can get my hands on.

I never went to college, didn't graduate high-school and left home at the age of 16... I have understudied some interesting artists, from a medical illustrator, to an art restorer, but I pretty much taught myself most of what I know...

Typically my art is created with the intent to provoke a response in the observer... My style is heavily influenced by surrealists like Dali, comic book artists like Frank Miller, adult artists like Patric Nagel, and propaganda artists from all over the world.... I could go on and on about my influences....

My art often deals with social or political messages...

I have shown/ sold my art in galleries and have been published several times...

Professionally I work multiple jobs, one for a major financial institution and the other is in construction where I get to work my art into building things of lasting beauty, and my art...

I am 40, married with 3 children.

I sleep about 5 hours a day or less. I think I will get enough sleep when I am dead...

I like all kinds of music and it influences my art... My favorite song is Aenima by Tool

I love books, especially classic fiction... and have read hundreds of them... They inspire me too... My favorite book is 1984 by Orwell, or Machiavelli's the Prince, or maybe Twain's Huck Fin... hell, I have a lot of favorites...

I grew up poor on a farm in nowhere Georgia, but have been in the Atlanta area for the better part of the last 2 decades.

I box, I skateboard, I hike, I canoe, I fish, and I'm a pretty good archer...

I like role playing games, video games, Sci-fi movies, and cartoons...

I love comic books...

I am pretty much a Atheist and an Anarchist... not exactly, but for those of you who need labels... I'm ok with those...

I am outspoken, and I dont tolerate any kind of discrimination...

I am a highly self motivated, active person with an active imagination...

Inspiration is never a problem for me... I have more ideas for art in a day than I could ever get down on paper in a "finished" version..,

I love to collaborate with other artists, and though I will take commissions, they have to be just right... and I still probably wont like them unless there is very little input from the person who wants the commission.

My repeat offending subjects will always be, skulls, eyes, flowers, clouds and the human form...
